Pink October... Month of Breast Cancer Awareness

Around the world, October is Breast Cancer Awarness Month. Pink, the signature colour, a reminder to all women to perform monthly self-examination and annual clinical check-ups.
Pink for October is an initiative started in August 2006. The Purpose of Breast Cancer Awareness Month is to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.

Ribbons have been used to express solidarity on the part of the wearer with the identified cause since the early to late 20th Century. Pink Ribbons (and the color pink) are used to express support for women (and men) who are diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

Let's pink around, pink your dress, your screensaver, your blog, your tweet, and ... everything around you!! Wear your pink ribbon too show your support!!

As women, we are proud of our breast, we breastfeed our babies and it is the best food for baby. So we must take good care of our breast. Regular checking can save our life. If you detect a lump early, your chances if surviving breast cancer increases.

As men, you should have your breast checking regularly as well. Why say so? For your knowledge, breast cancer is about 100 times as frequent among women as among men, but survival rates are equal in both sexes. So, don't be shy to check with Doctor if you are in doubt. Remember, regular checking can save life.

Cervical Cancer is the 2nd most common cancer affecting women in Malaysia. Each year 1,492 Malaysian Women are diagnosed with cervical cancer and 766 die from it.

Every 3 minutes, a women is diagnosed with breast cancer somewhere around the world.

96% of women who get detected and treated early will survive. Early detection can save lives.

Research confirms that women who are happy in their marriage are more likely to survive breast cancer. So be happy, always love your family.

This is a photo of me with my two kids. I love my kids, so do you. If you love your kids, your family, you must think of yourself. Take good care of your self, prevent yourself from cancer, you can protect your kids. They need you! Spend few minutes a year to check your breast to for a healthy family. Always remember, regular checking save life!


Self-checking. Examine your breasts in 3 easy steps:

1. Feel your breast with your fingers in a circular motion, beginning from the nipple till the edge of the breast. Look for lumps and thickening of tissue.

2. Squeeze the nipple to look for any discharge or bleeding.

3. Examine from under the collarbone till the bra area. Look for changes in shape, colour and texture of your breast and nipple.

If you detect a lump, go for a Clinical Breast Examination or Mammography. My Sweet Valentine

My husband gave me a surprise for this year's valentine day.....

We normally go home in different car after our dinner in my mom's house. He drove his car with our lovely son while I drove my little kancil and reach home a bit late coz I was stuck in the tracffic light which gave him the good opportunity to execute his plan....

When I reached home, they switched off the light and brought out a small (little melted) chocolate cake with love shape embaded on the surface....

My son was holding the cake while my husband was trying to record the touching warm moment...

My son was really cute, he sang me birthday (he thought all cakes are for birthday purpose) and it is really sweet of both of them....

Thank you to my lovely husband and son.....

This is the little melted chocolate cake.... still delicious anyway!!! my son love........... it....

This kiss melt my heart..... extreme sweet and hot!!!
